In August 2001 M.S. Air-conditioning Distributors (Pty) Ltd acquired the distribution rights for Mitsubishi Electric Air-Conditioners within southern Africa.

The brand has grown immensely since then- providing a high level of service in the commercial and industrial markets, spearheaded by their highly experienced technical team in the air-conditioning industry.

Mitsubishi Electric Air-conditioner attributes their success to quality, attention to detail and rendering excellent customer service, lauded by their clients countrywide.

With products ranging from Room air-conditioners, Duct air-cons , City Multi and the new Ecodan Air – to – water heat pump, Mitsubishi Electric Air-Conditioners competes with big industry players, subsequently becoming one of the top three air-conditioning brands in southern Africa.

Celebrating 10 years of excellence

The company celebrated its 10th year anniversary with a black tie gala dinner held at Summerplace in Sandton.

Their guests included Mitsubishi representatives from Tokyo head office, a number of their loyal clients and industry players who have supported the brand throughout their tenure in the country.

Mitsubishi Electric Air Conditioners also took this opportunity not only to mark their 10 year centenary but to also honour their staff members who have dedicated 10 years of their careers working to grow the brand.

Addressing the guests, Mitsubishi Electric Air Conditioners’ Marketing Director, Marco Ferdinandi, said: “The Company started during the unfavourable time of the USA twin towers tragedy. From the onset we were met with challenges and uncertainties about the potential for the brand to ever thrive. However we soldiered on and strived to be the best at what we do.” Ferdinandi continued: “It is true that who you employ can make or break your company, we are proud that our staff has worked hard to help build this brand, especially the recipients of this year’s Loyalty Awards.”

Yoji Saito, General Manager, Strategy & Business Planning Department from Mitsubishi Electric Corporation Tokyo, Japan presented the Financial Director, Chard Whitley and Marco Ferdinandi with plaques to thank them for their unrelenting contribution to the Mitsubishi Electric brand.

The guests were treated to good food, great live music and performances by the carnival dancers.
